GeckoTerminal
CoinGecko's DEX terminal: multi-chain candles, depth and pair filters wired to the same fundamentals you see on CoinGecko proper.
About this site
GeckoTerminal is CoinGecko's purpose-built DEX terminal — a sub-property that runs on the parent's data infrastructure but turns the lens entirely toward on-chain pools and decentralized exchanges. Compared with the main CoinGecko site, which centers on centralized-exchange data and project metadata, GeckoTerminal is the on-chain pool view.
The product covers four areas. Cross-chain DEX pool coverage: major EVM chains, Solana, Ton, Aptos and dozens of other networks, plus more than a hundred DEX protocols. OHLC and trade history with full trade tape across multiple intervals. Pool trending boards ranked by volume, age, price volatility and other dimensions. Seamless deep-linking back to the same token's contract, team, and social pages on CoinGecko. The public API is free for individual developers, with permissive rate limits.
Three usage profiles benefit most. DeFi traders want OHLC and an immediate jump to the fundamentals page. Quantitative and back-testing developers pull historical OHLCV through the free API for strategy validation. Front-end developers embed the official CoinGecko chart widget into their own dApp. DEX monitoring needs a relatively stable, source-backed reference feed.
The differentiator is "data lineage and stability." DexScreener leads on raw speed but only covers DEX; DEXTools has the deepest tooling. GeckoTerminal trades some raw speed for CoinGecko's underlying data assets, making it especially well suited to researchers and developers who need stable, standardized data with native links into fundamentals. The trade-off is that newly deployed tokens take slightly longer to be indexed than on DexScreener.
Limitations and caveats: DEX pool prices in thin-liquidity contexts are easily manipulated, and a single candle does not reflect market structure; holder concentration, buy/sell tax and other auxiliary data are integrated through the CoinGecko system and coverage tracks project onboarding; nothing on the site — pool listings or trending boards — constitutes investment advice. On-chain trading carries contract risk, rug-pull risk, slippage risk and extreme volatility.
