ChartEx
A no-frills charting workspace built for multi-monitor watch setups and quick strategy validation.
About this site
ChartEx is a crypto-focused, pure-charting monitor site. The positioning is narrow but sharp — "open it and you see the chart, nothing else" — and it fits traders who need multiple charts on multiple monitors and chart users who want no ancillary noise.
The feature set is built around the chart itself. Multi-interval OHLC bars covering major coins and derivatives markets. A standard indicator set (moving averages, Bollinger Bands, RSI, MACD, volume). Practical drawing tools (trend lines, horizontals, Fibonacci retracements). Switchable exchange price sources for the same instrument. In some versions, fullscreen and multi-chart layout modes.
Use cases point clearly to "chart first." Intraday traders watch a primary coin on a clean screen for long stretches. Multi-monitor trading desks dedicate one pane to it as a supplementary chart. Researchers grab clean screenshots for reports. Users on average network conditions want a charting page that is not slowed down by ancillary scripts.
The differentiator is minimalism and focus. TradingView is the full charting ecosystem but its page is feature-dense and the paywall is significant; ChartEx narrows scope to a few core lines and essential tools, gaining speed and focus. The trade-off is no scripting, no community, no alerts, no portfolio — it is best used as a dedicated charting view rather than a workspace.
Limitations and caveats: market data is sourced externally and brief cross-source divergence can appear under extreme moves, so execution-critical use should reference the target exchange directly; the site does not offer deep order books or trade tape — Cryptowatch and similar terminals are better suited for those workflows; any drawing or indicator signal is a research aid only and does not constitute investment advice. Crypto-asset trading involves material risk and potentially significant slippage.
